The Trust provides confidential services to protect the health of staff, assessing and advising on fitness for work so as to ensure that health issues are effectively managed.
The Trust believes that all staff should have the opportunity to access high quality Occupational Health support for health issues which are a result of, or which affects, their employment within their place of work.
All new appointments for member of staff joining the Trust are subject to a new starter health assessment as part of their pre-employment checks. Please see below for more information and the link to complete.
If you would like to make a referral to occupational health:
Employee - please discuss this with your line manager and they can complete a referral form to submit to HR who will arrange an appointment
Manager - please complete the referral for below and make sure that you have discussed this with your member of staff and that they agreed to a referral being made. HR will submit this referral and the member of staff will be asked for their consent before any appointment can be made.
Referrals
Suitable referrals seek support to manage:
• Sickness absence
• Return to work
• Adjustments
• Health concerns impacting performance
Occupational Health is not suitable for:
• Disciplinary enforcement
• Conflict resolution alone
• Performance management without health concerns
